Waterford mourns the loss of Brenda Collins née Fitzgerald, who passed away on February 25th, 2026. A resident of Shannon Drive, Avondale, Waterford, Ms. Collins was formerly of Slievekeale Road and had ties to SETU.
A Life Remembered
Ms. Collins was predeceased by her husband, Richie, her mother, Maura, her father, Jack, and her brothers, Mark and Pat. She is survived by her children Roy, Gwen, Jill, Kate, and Cormac, as well as her grandchildren, including Sophia and Ella, and a wide circle of extended family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Reposing will be held at her residence, 16 Shannon Drive, Avondale, Waterford (X91 YH5R), on Sunday, March 1st, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A Requiem Mass will take place on arrival at Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, on Monday, March 2nd, at 1:00pm, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner, Waterford.
