A Lifelong Connection to WVU
Allen, a Bridgeport native, is a dual major in mechanical engineering and data science. He expressed a deep connection to the university, stating, “Growing up, the Statler College and WVU were ‘college’ to me and I chose to come here because this is home.” He intends to represent the university and the state with pride.
Driven by gratitude for the opportunities WVU has provided, Allen views the role as a way to honor his heritage and connect with people across West Virginia. He has been actively involved in the university community, serving as a Presidential Student Ambassador and founding president of the Microgravity Research Club, where he leads STEM outreach for K-12 students.

Allen’s academic record demonstrates a commitment to excellence. He is a 2022 Bucklew Scholar, an Eberly Scholar, and a member of the Honors College. He has also participated in research across multiple areas of campus and received scholarships.
