A New Destination for Albuquerque

The Highlands Central Market will be situated on the ground floor of a 126-room Marriott Residence Inn currently under construction. The development also includes a neighboring 118-room SpringHill Suites, connected to the hospital via a skybridge. The project aims to showcase local culinary talent and foster a sense of community.

Onset Hospitality, led by Jay Coldren – a veteran of the hospitality industry with experience at Time Out Market, Edition Hotels, and Dean & Deluca – will curate, program, and manage the food hall. Coldren previously lived and worked in Santa Fe.

According to a statement, Highlands Central Market is envisioned as a gathering space that celebrates Albuquerque’s cultural identity. Plans include a diverse collection of chef-driven vendors, a full-service bar, outdoor seating, and cultural programming.
