Oil Prices Surge as Iran Intensifies Regional Tensions
Oil prices soared above $100 a barrel overnight as Iranian actions targeting shipping have amplified concerns over global supplies. The price had recently been near $120.
Oil prices jumped more than 9 percent following increased concern for supplies due to Iranian attacks on shipping around the Strait of Hormuz. American WTI crude rose to around $95 a barrel.
