An 18-year-old man is expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Friday following a fatal stabbing in Chelsea, Massachusetts Thursday night.

Sergio Josue Castellanos, 18, is expected to face a murder charge, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. In the area of Chestnut Street and Everett Avenue.
Authorities say a 25-year-old man from Chelsea died after being stabbed multiple times. The victim’s name has not been released.
Responding officers found “multiple stabbing victims” at the scene, and all were transported to a hospital for treatment. The number of additional victims has not been disclosed.
Chelsea Police Chief Keith Houghton stated, “Chelsea detectives and Mass State Police detectives are currently working this very serious incident, and we are ready to utilize any and all of our resources to give our community the peace of mind our citizens deserve.”
Saul Alicea, a local resident, described being startled by the police presence, saying, “When we pulled up and I see everything blue like lit up with cop cars, we were a little bit spooked, you know startled.” He also noted the close-knit nature of the community, stating, “Everybody is close knit, everybody knows everybody.”
