Teresa Moran (née Molloy), formerly of Gortnagoyne, Dunmore, Co. Galway and most recently of Shessagh, Taugheen, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, passed away suddenly while surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026.
A Large Family Remembers Teresa Moran
Ms. Moran is remembered as a cherished mother to eleven children: Joseph, Sean, Stephen, Connie, MT, Triona, Jarlath, Marguerita, Brian, Sandie, and Kevin. She was predeceased by her husband, John, and her parents, Stephen and Mary Molloy.
Ms. Moran’s family extends beyond her children to include 30 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is similarly survived by her sisters, Breda, Dymphna, and Geraldine, as well as numerous daughters-in-law – Irene, Emma, Dearbhaile, Leila, and Samantha – and sons-in-law including Des Finn, JP Keane, Chris Green, Stephen Grant, and Hugo Lord. She is also remembered by her nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.
Reposing will grab place at St. Coleman’s Funeral Home, Lower James Street, Claremorris, F12R3W8, on Saturday evening, March 21st, from 5 p.m. To 7 p.m. Following the Requiem Mass, burial will occur in Taugheen New Cemetery.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Irish Cancer Society c/o Summerville Funeral Directors Ballintubber.
