Patrick “Pat” O’Brien, a resident of Avoncore Place in Midleton, Co. Cork, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on April 15th, 2026. He died at Tralee General Hospital, leaving behind a large family and a community of friends and neighbors.
Family and Community Connections
Pat was the son of Eileen (née Leahy) and the late Michael (Mickey) of Dundellerick, Leamlara. He is remembered as a cherished father to Shane Daly and Michael O’Brien, and a grandfather to Zach.
His family network extended to his brother Donal and sisters Tracey, Lorraine, Sharon, Amanda, and Michaela. He is also survived by his aunt Ange and uncle Finbarr, whereas the family remembers his late uncle Pierce.
Funeral Arrangements and Services
The family has announced that Pat will repose at O’Farrell’s Funeral Home on Riverside Way, Midleton, P25 X382. This will take place on Monday, April 20th, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21st, at 11:00am at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Midleton. Following the service, burial will take place in Lisgoold Cemetery.
