Eddie O’ Connell of Collins Park, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He died at University Hospital Limerick with his family present by his side.
Family and Community Loss
Mr. O’ Connell is survived by a large family, including his wife Mary and mother Gretta. He is also survived by three daughters—Bridget, Sandra, and Marie—and two sons, Jamie and Edward, along with their partners.
The loss extends to twelve grandchildren: TJ, Daniel, Billy, Kayleigh, Lexi, Louis, Ellie, Katie, Emma, Chulainn, Ryan, and Brónagh. He is further survived by his brother Liam and sisters Gretta, Josie, Noreen, Kathleen, and Paula.
Funeral Arrangements and Services
Reposing will take place at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale (V94 AK44), on Monday, April 27, from 6.00 p.m. Until 8.00 p.m.
A Requiem Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 11.00 a.m. At The Church of The Assumption, Abbeyfeale. This service will be live streamed at https://churchmedia.tv/church-of-the-assumption-abbeyfeale.
Following the mass, a Cremation Service will be held at Shannon Crematorium at 4.00 p.m.
