Dutch National Deported for Jakarta Hotel Damage

The South Jakarta Immigration Office deported a Dutch national identified by the initials TAV following a reported hotel disturbance in the Tendean area of Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. According to officials, the individual allegedly kicked a water dispenser and damaged multiple hotel items during the incident.

Hotel Vandalism Incident and Police Referral in South Jakarta

Circulating CCTV footage shows the Dutch national damaging property inside a hotel. According to the hotel’s report, the suspect damaged a water dispenser, chairs, glasses, room lamps, and paintings. Following the vandalism, the hotel reported the case to the Mampang Prapatan Police. Law enforcement subsequently referred the matter to the South Jakarta Immigration Office for further action.

Immigration Investigation and Visa Details

Rizki Ikhsan, the Head of Immigration Intelligence at the South Jakarta Immigration Office, stated that TAV entered Indonesia using a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for holiday purposes. During his stay, the visitor checked into two separate accommodations. On Wednesday, the 22nd of July, Ikhsan confirmed that the individual stayed at two hotels within the South Jakarta Immigration Office’s jurisdiction, located in Menteng and Tendean.

Based on the investigation, immigration officials determined that the actions endangered public security and public order. This violation falls under Article 75, paragraph (1) of the Immigration Law. Authorities subsequently took the suspect into custody.

Deportation and Enforcement Outlook

Immigration authorities processed the deportation of the Dutch national before the end of the week. “TAV was deported via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on the 20th of July,” Rizki Ikhsan confirmed.

Looking ahead, the South Jakarta Immigration Office stated that it may continue to strengthen monitoring of the presence and activities of foreign nationals. Such measures could involve close cooperation with the police, local governments, accommodation providers, and other relevant stakeholders to prevent similar incidents and maintain public order.
