Nintendo Switch Online is expanding its classic library with the upcoming addition of Super Mario Sunshine and two unreleased Virtual Boy titles, according to recent announcements regarding the service’s updates.
Super Mario Sunshine Joins Nintendo Switch Online Classics
Nintendo announced that Super Mario Sunshine will arrive on August 13 via the Nintendo Classics section of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack for the Nintendo Switch 2, according to company schedules. Previously, players could only experience the platformer through its original hardware release or via the 3D All-Stars Collection, which is currently out of print.
Virtual Boy Games Make Historic Debut
The retro lineup is also receiving two titles that were never officially released during the original hardware’s lifespan, according to service disclosures. D-Hooper and Zero Racers are heading to the platform on August 4. Zero Racers was originally developed as a completed spin-off in the F-Zero franchise that was shelved prior to commercial distribution.
With these additions, a substantial portion of the historical Virtual Boy software library will be accessible to modern players.
