Pop superstar Kylie Minogue joined Madonna on stage at AFAS Live in Amsterdam for a surprise performance of Love Sensation during WorldPride 2026. The unexpected duet on August 1 capped off Madonna’s Club Confessions album launch set, marking only the second time the two music icons have performed live together.
The night’s major surprise arrived after opening sets from Honey Dijon and Bebe Rexha, who was spotted bouncing along in the crowd while Madonna and Minogue performed. Minogue emerged onstage wearing a flowing purple top and silver pants, stepping into the spotlight to join the Queen of Pop for a live rendition of Love Sensation.

The studio version of the track dropped in June ahead of the July 3 release of Confessions II and subsequently climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart. While the released studio recording does not feature Minogue, the studio version of the remix is reportedly forthcoming.

Speculation about a collaboration had swirled for months, intensifying when Madonna played coy during an interview on The Graham Norton Show by asking, Why do you have to know everything?It’s my job to be mysterious. As it turns out, that speculation was not entirely unfounded.
Minogue did not exit the stage after Love Sensation. Madonna then closed out her set with Hung Up, another staple from her landmark 2005 album.
The partnership reunites two artists who command massive global followings and share a deep history in dance music culture. NME praisedConfessions II as Madonna’s most vital album in over two decades, noting that the release reunited her with producer Stuart Price, who also engineered Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Only the Second Time Sharing a Stage
Friday night’s appearance in Amsterdam represents only the second time Madonna and Minogue have ever performed live together. Their historic live debut took place in March 2024 during Madonna’s Celebration Tour stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. At that concert, coinciding with International Women’s Day, the pair teamed up to cover Gloria Gaynor’s disco anthem I Will Survive before launching into an a cappella version of Minogue’s classic hit Can’t Get You Out of My Head.

Both artists arrived in Amsterdam straight from major commitments elsewhere. Minogue’s WorldPride appearance followed hot on the heels of a surprise reunion with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in Brighton, where she joined the band to perform Where The Wild Roses Grow. Madonna arrived in the Netherlands following a performance at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final halftime show.
