Norwegian rock band D.D.E. is asking 45 municipalities along the E6 to contribute 10,000 kroner each to fund a commemorative road movie video celebrating the 30th anniversary of their hit song “E6,” according to Namdalsavisa.
Funding the E6 Anniversary Video Production
The total production cost for the upcoming project is estimated at approximately 800,000 kroner, according to Bjarne Brøndbo. The budget will cover audio, video, and dronebilder capturing the length of the highway from Svinesund to Fauske/Bodø.
To close the funding gap, the band sent an email to the municipalities that E6 goes through, from Svinesund to Bodø, requesting a 10,000-krone contribution from each. Brøndbo stated in an email to the kommunene that the band wants to do stas på E6 and the people who live their lives with and around this vital main artery, as reported by Namdalsavisa.

According to Brøndbo, the band wants to do this by making a newinnspilling, where everyday people—including in the hjullasteren, in the trailer, behind the cash register at the gas station, etc.—shall get to sing their verses of the song on the way from Svinesund to Fauske/Bodø.
