The recalled inventory totals approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef products. Florida-based meat supplier Corte Argentino USA LLC, located in Aventura, distributed the shipments directly to retailers and supermarkets across Florida and Texas. Production on the meat occurred between May 15 and May 20, with assigned use-by or freeze-by dates spanning from September 15 to September 20.
Routine inspection activities by federal officials uncovered the oversight. Because the cargo entered domestic commerce without passing through the required documentation, labeling, packaging, and contaminant checks mandated for foreign meat products, the agency stepped in to pull the inventory from shelves.
