Trailer at D23
During the D23 presentation, Hugh Jackman and an off-screen Ryan Reynolds crashed the event with a video message. The Wolverine actor joked and begged for a spot in the cast, asking if the team needed help rounding out the ensemble and suggesting he might convince Reynolds to appear in the movie, according to IGN.
New Footage Highlights Confrontations With Doctor Doom
The newly revealed trailer features Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm/Invisible Woman warning Earth’s mightiest heroes about the danger of the Latverian villain, with cuts focusing on Doom’s costume. I knew he was lost,
Storm says in the clip. But I did not realize that he was broken.
The footage subsequently cuts to Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic confronting Doom amid a heap of rubble. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor then promises that Doom will beg for hell before the Norse god grants it. Before Thor can strike Doom with his axe Stormbreaker, Doom blocks the blow and blasts Thor with a green energy beam. Doom then raises a collection of Sentinels—classic X-Men villains—and declares, Hell answers to me, for I am Doom.
Sprawling Star-Studded Cast and MCU Returns
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday
follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes on a deadly collision course against an existential threat. The Avengers, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, and other heroes unite to take down Downey’s Doctor Doom. This marks the Iron Man actor’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his original character’s death in Avengers: Endgame.

Evans and Atwell also discussed returning to their roles after their characters’ apparent happy ending in “Endgame.” Chris Evans previously noted that the film will be a brutal and challenging examination of Steve Rogers and his values. The expansive cast features a massive roster of returning fan favorites and official MCU debuts for several former Fox X-Men actors.
