International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 is appointing BSD Consultancy Sdn Bhd and its subsidiary Climate Asia as its official Carbon Partner to conduct an independent assessment of the event’s environmental footprint at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. According to event organizers, the assessment covers Scope 1, Scope 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions to establish a carbon baseline and explore pathways toward carbon-neutral status for the two-day gathering.
ISW 2026 Appoints BSD Consultancy to Measure Carbon Baseline
Organized by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd and co-organized by GreenRE Sdn Bhd, ISW 2026 runs from September 10 to 11 as part of World Green Building Week. Michelle Lau, Executive Director of Qube Integrated Malaysia and Co-Organising Chair of ISW 2026, states that the initiative reflects the event’s effort to hold itself to the same transparency standards it asks of the wider industry.
The assessment evaluates venue operations, electricity consumption, exhibition activities, logistics, waste generation, and water consumption. Visitor-related emissions are also factored into relevant Scope 3 categories to provide a complete understanding of key emission sources. Following the event, organizers will publish a Carbon Disclosure Report to support community access, transparency, and knowledge sharing.
