The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) deployed more than 2,300 workers and officers across the city on Wednesday to execute special cleanliness arrangements for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations, according to official reports. Lahore Waste Management Company Chief Executive Officer Sheryar Arif Khan directed sanitation operations in the field, inspecting routes and overseeing the washing of over 1,500 Jamia mosques ahead of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Chief Executive Officer Sheryar Arif Khan remained actively engaged in the field throughout the religious gatherings, visiting several areas of the Walled City. His inspections covered Delhi Gate, Wazir Khan Mosque, Sunehri Mosque, and Talab Wali Gali to monitor sanitation facilities along the main procession routes. Sanitation teams decorated key roads with lime and sprinkled rose-scented water along the paths of the processions. Additional waste containers were also installed near major mosques and along routes to maintain effective waste collection.
Special cleanliness operations were executed both before and after celebrations at Milad Chowk, Circular Road, Bhati Gate, Data Darbar, and other parts of the city. Additional sanitation arrangements covered Mall Road, Jail Road, the District Courts area, Islam Pura, Sanda, and Outfall Road. Furthermore, cleaning and washing operations at more than 1,500 Jamia mosques across Lahore concluded prior to 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, with dedicated teams stationed at Milad gatherings to ensure timely waste clearance.
