Mewtwo will learn unique “plus” moves depending on which Mega Evolution form it takes during the event. Mega Mewtwo X gains access to Dynamic Punch+, while Mega Mewtwo Y receives Future Sight+, according to Niantic’s announcement.
Unlocking these moves for the first time triggers unique Adventure Effects that remain usable even when Mewtwo is not Mega Evolved. Activating these effects requires specific resources. According to Niantic, each activation costs 5 Mewtwo Candy and 75 corresponding Mega Energy, lasting 10 minutes for Mega X and 12 minutes for Mega Y.

Once a Pokémon has completed its initial Mega Evolution, subsequent transformations do not cost Mega Energy.
