The Australian charges stem from an incident on December 26, 2025. According to a NSW Police fact sheet released to the media, officers from Ryde Police Area Command arrested Gallagher at 8:45 a.m. on December 27 at a unit complex on Appleforth Street in Melrose Park after responding to reports of an assault.
Police documents state that Gallagher and his partner, fellow Below Deck Mediterranean castmate Gael Cameron, had consumed a bottle of wine before an argument turned violent in the bedroom.
