in a new interview with People magazine. The 41-year-old pop star and the British actor ended their relationship after nine years together and share a six-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

she explained.
The pair first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 after being seen dining together at a restaurant in Montreal, where Trudeau subsequently attended her concert alongside his teenage daughter. Perry noted that she had previously discussed wanting an epic legendary love
with her therapist, viewing it as a missing puzzle piece that eventually materialized. She shared that she had written a manifestation list in August 2025 where item number 10 simply read, True love.
Trudeau and his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, legally separated in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage and share joint custody of three children. Trudeau’s eldest son, Xavier, expressed approval of the relationship, noting that he occasionally seeks songwriting advice from Perry. Meanwhile, Perry and Trudeau went public with their relationship in October 2025 and made their red carpet debut in June at the Tribeca Festival premiere of her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.
