SEA Beauty Supplements Boom: Swisse Reports Rising Demand and Spending

The Swisse Nutra Cellular Beauty range has officially launched at selected Guardian stores in Singapore. According to Nick Mann, CEO for Asia, Australia & New Zealand of H&H Group, consumers in the region increasingly recognize that beauty extends far beyond topical skincare, driving a shift from reactive to preventive self-care.

The Rise of Preventive Beauty and Sophisticated Consumers in Southeast Asia

Consumer habits across Singapore and neighboring markets are undergoing a fundamental transformation. According to Nick Mann, CEO for Asia, Australia & New Zealand of H&H Group, buyers are taking a more holistic approach by acknowledging that nutrition and wellness directly support skin health. People are investing in their skin, hair, and overall appearance much earlier in life.

“Consumers are also getting more sophisticated,” Mann told NutraIngredients. “They are actively researching ingredients, looking for clinically supported formulations and seek for products that deliver visible results.” To meet this demand, Swisse aims to inspire proactive well-being through targeted education and meaningful storytelling.

Targeted Cellular Formulations for Men and Women

The newly introduced Swisse Nutra Cellular Beauty range features four specialized products designed to support skin and hair at the cellular level for both male and female consumers. The line relies on patented, clinically tested actives to drive visible outcomes.

For deep hydration, Cellular Skin Hydration utilizes Ceramosides—patented plant-based ceramides that act like cement between skin cells to seal in moisture—alongside sodium hyaluronate and ascorbic acid. According to clinical trials cited by the brand, Ceramosides improved skin hydration by 23.4% and elasticity by 14.9% in 15 days, with results climbing to 37.2% hydration and 36.6% elasticity by day 601.

Hair health is addressed through two distinct variations. Cellular Hair Growth Women combines Ceramosides with biotin and selenium, which clinical studies showed reduced hair shedding by up to 47.9% over 12 weeks, yielding a 14.7% drop in hair loss by week 8. Meanwhile, Cellular Hair Growth Men targets male hair follicles using pumpkin seed oil, biotin, and zinc. Rounding out the lineup, Cellular Skin Vitalise Men pairs HydroPeach ceramides and Verisol bioactive collagen peptides with milk thistle, nicotinamide, and vitamin C. Research indicates Verisol can reduce eye wrinkle appearance by 20% in four weeks.

Regional Growth Horizons and Premium Expansion Plans

Driven by rising spending power and increased discovery of natural wellness benefits, H&H Group is experiencing growth across Asia. Nick Mann revealed that the company is seeing “almost exponential growth” in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Meanwhile, Singapore, Cambodia, and Mongolia remain well-established territories where ultra-premium lines like Swisse Nutra elevate existing product portfolios.

Looking ahead, H&H Group has identified Vietnam, South Korea, and the Philippines as its next frontiers for regional growth. In addition to beauty formulations, the brand plans to focus on premium magnesium glycinate products, detox and digestion aids, longevity solutions, women’s hormonal health, men’s sexual health, and body composition items. Mann noted that “Made-in-Australia” remains a powerful selling proposition due to the country’s strictly regulated, high-quality manufacturing standards.
