Liz Oakham delivered a talk representing West Waterford Mental Health Awareness at the venue. Chairperson Cllr Mulcahy and Vice Chair John Ryan also joined the proceedings, with Cllr Mulcahy commending Oakham for her presentation and thanking Buion Phort Láirge for coordinating the programme.

Upcoming Community Wellbeing Day Scheduled for Ballyduff

Building on the momentum from a recent gathering in Ballysaggart, West Waterford Mental Health Awareness is organising a dedicated Community Wellbeing Day in Ballyduff on Saturday, September 19, according to group announcements. The free event will be hosted at Ballyduff GAA Grounds with no registration required for attendees.

“The whole idea behind these days is very simple. We want to bring people together, encourage conversation and promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our communities,” Cllr Mulcahy said, describing the upcoming schedule. The itinerary opens with Yoga with Fiona from 11 am to 12 pm, leading into tea, coffee, and casual conversations. A Bags of Hope Workshop will run from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm to center on connection, followed by Laughing Yoga with Deborah from 2 pm to 3 pm.
