International Emmy Nominations for CNA Documentaries
The 2026 International Emmy Awards nominations were announced on Thursday morning, September 24, Singapore time. Across 16 categories, 64 nominees were named, representing 22 countries. CNA’s two selected works are One “Orphan” Every Hour and Undercover Asia: Copy + Paste + Steal.
One “Orphan” Every Hour earned a nomination in the documentary category. The film follows South Korean adoptees sent to the West as “orphans” in the 60 years following the Korean War. Correspondent Wei Du, previously involved in the nominated documentary Walk The Line, worked on this project. It will compete against international entries including the United Kingdom’s Louis Theroux: The Settlers and Mexico’s Marcial Maciel: The Wolf Of God.
Meanwhile, Undercover Asia: Copy + Paste + Steal received a nomination in the arts programming category. Bruce L Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy, addressed the competitiveness of this year’s field in a statement released alongside the nominations. “The International Emmy Awards are as competitive as ever, with an outstanding range of entries from around the world vying for a coveted nomination,” Paisner said, adding that the organization looks forward to bringing the global television community together.
Other notable international projects and performers recognized in the 2026 nominations include South Korean actress Park Ji-hyun, who secured a nod in the best performance by an actress category for her role in Netflix’s You And Everything Else. Comedian Vir Das also earned a nomination in the comedy category for Vir Das: Full Volume.
