In the White House video, Trump points to the framed display and tells Xi, “This is autopen… this is Biden’s signature,” which drew laughter from Xi and his accompanying delegation. Trump, wearing a long coat and gloves, and Melania Trump shook hands with Xi and Peng Liyuan after the Chinese president descended from his aircraft.

The leaders stood together on the tarmac as military bands played, followed by a low-altitude flyover by two B-1 bombers. The extensive three-day visit also included a state dinner at the White House. The direct welcome on the runway contrasted with Trump’s trip to Beijing in May, where he did not receive a direct airport greeting. Six F-22 fighter jets and six F-16 jets lined the tarmac alongside US officials near the red carpet.
