Theo Sambus provided a review of AEW All Out 2026, which took place at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The event featured a commentary team consisting of Tony Schiavone, Taz, and Excalibur.
Saturday Tailgate Brawl
The event began with a “Saturday Tailgate Brawl” between Jack Perry and Shibata. The match was characterized largely as a “chopfest,” featuring exchanges of chops both inside and outside the ring. During the contest, Shibata executed a vertical suplex on the apron and another to the floor. Perry attempted a sunset flip powerbomb, which Shibata reversed into a hurracanrana before Perry countered into a Snare Trap, though Shibata reached the ropes.
Jack Perry won the match via pinfall at the 9:16 mark. Sambus rated the bout 2.5 stars, describing it as “standard fare” and noting that while the pace increased toward the end, it was not the best work from either competitor.
Post-Match Confrontation
Following his victory, Perry called out Samoa Joe. This led to the appearance of Action Andretti, Anthony Bowens, and Hook. When Samoa Joe entered the ring, Perry offered a handshake as a sign of respect, but Joe initially turned his back. After Perry grabbed Joe’s shoulder and demanded the handshake, Joe knocked Perry out with a headbutt.
All Out 2026 Card
The event’s loaded undercard included several high-profile matchups:
- A World Championship main event featuring Will Ospreay defending his title against Jon Moxley of the Death Riders.
- A “don’t-call-it-TLC” Ladder Match for the tag titles involving the Young Bucks, FTR, and the team of Cage and Cope.
- A Chicago Street Fight between Divine Dominion and the Brawling Birds.
- Matches featuring Okada vs. Ciampa, and Andrade vs. PAC.
- A bout featuring Swerve and Hangman against New Level and Brodido.
