Classic Weapons, Charge Blade, and New Elder Dragons in Aesoland
Aesoland serves as the environment where users explore, gather, craft, build, and hunt—either on their own or together with fellow gamers—within the open-world mobile experience of Outlanders. Built for mobile play, it features portable controls that allow players to dive into the action instantly, supporting solo play or the ability to rally friends with a single tap to form a 4-player hunting squad. Alongside traditional gathering and building systems, the launch version preserves classic weapons and hunting experience the IP is known for, introducing original Adventurers, Buddies, and exclusive new Monsters. Seven classic weapon types are included: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow. In a video published on the 29th, Dong Huang, who produces Monster Hunter Outlanders for TiMi Studio Group, and Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, announced that the Charge Blade will be included in the initial release and shared their vision to continually roll out additional regions, weapons, monsters, and new content down the line.
Combat encounters will feature original threats unique to the mobile installment. Wrapped in a dazzling radiance, an Elder Dragon named Ruger Aidal descends like a blazing sun, accompanied by Radiant Monsters shaped by the ever-changing environment to bring new adventures and challenges. A Tokyo Game Show 2026 trailer featured the original monster Ruger Aidal confronting adventurers using its golden wings, footage of adventurer Freya setting out to hunt with a buddy, combat footage of new adventurer Haze, and the main adventurer wielding a Hammer against an Azure Rathalos.
This game brings the series’ iconic hunting experience and weapon types to your smartphones, with new features such as: Adventurers, Buddies, original monsters, building system, and more.

Dual Control Layouts and Mobile Traversal Mechanics
Adapting intricate hunting mechanics to touchscreens has remained a central focus, designed so both existing series fans and newcomers can easily adapt. Gamers are presented with a choice between two distinct control schemes: the Classic layout provides a familiar, traditional setup, whereas the Adventure option is tailored to help newcomers get up to speed with the gameplay much faster.
Traversal mechanics go beyond standard running. Adventurers were shown moving between locations in the video clips by utilizing crafting items like Air Blowers and engaging in Gliding Challenges.
Franchise Momentum and Post-Launch Expansion Plans
The mobile spin-off arrives as the broader franchise continues a massive commercial expansion. Designed as hunting action titles, games in the Monster Hunter franchise place users into breathtaking natural landscapes to do battle with colossal beasts. Originating with the debut installment back in 2004, the franchise pioneered a unique cooperative genre where allies team up to track down fierce creatures, ultimately expanding into a worldwide phenomenon whose total worldwide shipments surpassed 131 million units by June 30, 2026. The mainline series has been busy too, with Monster Hunter Wilds continuing to evolve through updates and expansions, while the upcoming Ascendance expansion is already reworking its endgame difficulty for more experienced hunters.

Producers emphasized that the October release acts merely as a starting baseline. By continuing to maximize the value of its intellectual properties and expanding the reach of its prominent game franchises, Capcom aims to strengthen its presence within the rapidly expanding global mobile gaming market.
