Latvian singer Atvara has released a new autumn single titled “Pa Rīgas ielām” and announced a Christmas concert tour that will take place across four Latvian cities. The new track was created with the participation of Roberts Memmēns, who contributed his musical vision to the song’s sound alongside the artist. According to Atvara, the single explores the feeling of trying to move forward while mentally returning to someone, noting how certain places in the city acquire a completely different meaning due to specific memories.
Jaunā dziesma un radošais gads
The release of “Pa Rīgas ielām” follows an eventful past year for the performer, which included the release of a debut album, two music award nominations, and over 30 sold-out concerts. In 2024, Atvara released her first single “Pie manis tveries”, which reached several million views and streams on the TikTok platform and was also included in the series “Nelūgtie viesi”. Furthermore, she became the winner of “Supernova” and Latvia’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Ēnā”. Atvara explained that the track blends nostalgia, lightness, and familiar feelings, expressing hope that listeners will find a part of their own experiences in the music.
