After Vitali Boot’s Departure: How the Box Club Gifhorn is Reorganizing

Gifhorn. For over three decades, Vitali Boot was one of the faces of the Boxclub Gifhorn. He first competed in the ring as a boxer and later shaped many talents as a coach in the “Boxmühle” (boxing mill). Earlier this year, Boot decided to pursue other paths, now running his own fitness studio. “We parted on good terms,” emphasizes Andreas Strom, chairman of the BC Gifhorn. Nick Bier also left the club with Boot.

The club has distributed the responsibility of Boot’s successor among several individuals. Adam Deines, Dima Döll, Bashir Idiev, Jonas Otto, and Strom himself will form the new coaching team. Döll will take on the role of head coach for advanced boxers. The new coaching team has clear goals: the athletic development of the athletes, a strong team spirit, and targeted support for children and young people.

The BC recently achieved some successes at the Lower Saxony Championship in Peine. With Emin Neziraj, Stella Georgoudi, and Emily Plotninkov, the club has three Lower Saxony champions. All three boxers impressed in their fights with strong performances and great commitment. Stella Georgoudi impressed with exceptional fighting spirit and fought determinedly until the last second. Emin Neziraj dominated his fight with great strength and technical skill. Emily Plotninkov proved her ability with clean technique and high concentration, impressively underlining her potential. “We are incredibly proud of our athletes. They have not only convinced us athletically, but also shown honor, discipline, and team spirit,” says chairman Strom about his protégés.
