On-Call Role at USCIS Application Support Center
Amentum is hiring for an on-call, or casual, position assisting operations at the USCIS Application Support Center (ASC). The hourly rate for this position is $17.75, as set by the Service Contract Act (SCA). The Department of Labor (DOL) regulates pay, benefits, and Health & Welfare (H&W) funds for this contract position.
Biometric Technicians will be responsible for capturing and processing applicant biometrics, including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures. They will also perform administrative tasks such as tracking processing times and maintaining visitor logs. Applicants and their belongings will be visually inspected prior to entry, and during health crises, applicants may be questioned about their health status and potentially denied entry.
Availability and Compensation
On-call employees must be available Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 4:15pm, for substitute coverage. This position does not guarantee a consistent income stream, as hours are assigned on an “as needed” basis. Employees may be notified of on-call needs the night before or the day of. In addition to the hourly rate, employees may be eligible for H&W funds to offset benefit costs, with any remaining funds cashed out.
Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates. The job posting will remain open for at least three days from March 4, 2026, but may close earlier depending on business needs.
