Bogor police arrest man for stabbing Bobotoh supporter with sickle

Police in Bogor arrested MR (26) for stabbing ARK (16), a Bobotoh supporter, during a motorbike convoy incident on October 25, 2026, according to detikNews. The suspect, who is not a football club supporter, was reportedly carrying a sickle and had a history of gang fights, police confirmed. MR faces up to 15 years in prison for the attack, which occurred near Jalan Raya Jakarta-Bogor.

Suspect’s History of Gang Fights

Kapolres Bogor AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung stated that MR had a habit of seeking out fights in the Jembatan Hitam area, a known hotspot for gang activity. “Tersangka sering melakukan tawuran, tawuran atau mencari lawan untuk berkelahi di sekitar Jembatan Hitam,” Arfan said, citing the suspect’s own statements. Carrying a Sickle as a Habit

Police seized a sickle from MR during the investigation, which he admitted to carrying “ke mana-mana” (everywhere). “Pelaku selalu membawa celurit di badannya,” Arfan revealed. The weapon was used to stab ARK, who was part of a motorbike convoy following a football match at Stadion Pakansari. MR was with his wife when he spotted the convoy and allegedly acted on impulse.

Attack Motivated by Spontaneous Emotion

Arfan described the attack as a “spontan” (spontaneous) act triggered by MR’s reaction to the motorbike convoy. “Tersangka terpancing melakukan aksi tawuran dengan membawa celurit dan menyerang korban,” he said. The police emphasized that ARK was not a targeted victim, and MR had no prior connection to the Bobotoh fan group. The suspect’s urine test showed no traces of alcohol or narcotics.
