On Tuesday, crowds lined Highway 401 in Ontario to pay tribute as the body of Gunner Sebastian Halmagean returned home following his death in Latvia.
Honoring a Fallen Soldier
The 24-year-old soldier arrived at CFB Trenton for a repatriation ceremony before being transported along the Highway of Heroes to Hamilton. Images from the ceremony depict uniformed soldiers standing guard beside his flag-draped coffin as light snow fell and bagpipes played.
