The case fatality rate currently stands at 48.4 percent. The WHO notes that the high number of deaths occurring within communities—rather than in clinical settings—remains a major obstacle to controlling the virus. This trend indicates persistent difficulties in detecting cases early and ensuring patients receive adequate medical care in time.
Data from the government situation report confirms that 2,070 patients have recovered from the virus. Despite these recoveries, the daily volume of new cases remains high.
