It is with deep sadness that the family of Declan Nevin, of Mullaun, Newport, Co. Mayo and Nevin’s Bar, Main Street, has announced his passing on March 18th. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.

A Life Remembered

Declan Nevin was predeceased by his parents, Teresa and Michael; his sister, Angela Irwin; his sister-in-law, Loyola McHale; his parents-in-law, Tom and Patricia McHale; and his son, James. He is survived by his wife, Jo-Ann (née McHale), and their children, Angela (Ronan), Paul, Michaela (Finn), and Seán (Sophie). He was also a grandfather to Conn, MacDara, and Aodán.

Mr. Nevin is also remembered by his sisters, Geraldine (Bertie), Finola (Tom), and Fidelma (Michael); his brothers, Michael (Geraldine), Colm (Paula), Kevin (Denise), Rory (Carmel), and Adrian (Elaine); and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Arrangements

Declan Nevin will repose at St. Dominick’s Funeral Home, Newport (F28 H682) on Friday, March 20th, from 5pm to 8pm. His remains will be removed from his residence on Saturday morning, March 21st, to St. Patrick’s Church, Newport, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Burrishoole Cemetery. The family requests privacy at their home.
