Presidente Derqui Volleyball Teams Kick Off 2026 Season with Victories

Presidente Derqui volleyball teams across multiple divisions have begun their 2026 seasons with a series of impressive wins. The Men’s First Division team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Estudiantil Porteño in Ramos Mejía, showcasing a resilient performance that included a dramatic tiebreak.

Men’s First Division: A Thrilling Start

Coached by Ariel Verón, the Derqui Men’s First Division team started strong, taking the first two sets with scores of 25-19 and 25-19. Estudiantil Porteño responded, leveling the match with sets of 25-17 and 25-22, forcing a decisive fifth set. Derqui ultimately prevailed with a 16-14 victory in the tiebreak.

The team’s roster includes Patricio Lovisolo, Tomás Carballo, Gonzalo Ruggeri, Facundo Sacchi, Ramiro Aguilera, Agustín Harbin, Tomás Rodríguez, Federico Bernhardt, Nahuel Ojeda, Ángel De Brito, Francisco Vila, Augusto Rano, Elián Máspero, and Fidel Taccone.
