Why Is the Baidu Netdisk Motion Data Restriction Under Scrutiny?
Apple introduced a “Restrict Motion Data” feature in iOS 27.2 designed to let users independently block apps from triggering ad redirects via phone shaking. However, testing on November 2 showed that upgrading to iOS 27.2 and adding Baidu Netdisk to the restriction list still allowed splash-screen shake-to-jump ads to complete their redirects, as reported by BigGo Finance. A person familiar with the matter told The Paper that an updated app version adapted to Apple’s new rules is expected to launch soon.
What Automation Updates Are Included in iOS 27.2?
Trend Hunter reported that iOS 27.2 adds a new automation trigger to Apple’s Shortcuts app, allowing users to run actions when their iPhone is opened or closed.
