Lady Lions Secure First Home Win of the Season, Beach Volleyball Momentum Builds
HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University’s beach volleyball team delivered a decisive 4-1 victory over Spring Hill on Tuesday, marking their first home win of the 2026 season. The win as well snapped Spring Hill’s five-match winning streak, demonstrating the Lady Lions’ growing strength in the Southland Conference.
Dominant Pairings Lead the Charge
The Southeastern team showcased strong performances across multiple pairings. Makayla Hicks and Cadie Kusy, recently named Southland Conference Pair of the Week, continued their winning streak with a commanding 21-17, 21-11 victory on court two. This extends their current winning streak to five matches, solidifying their position as a key duo for SLU.
