A ceremony commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States will take place at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign on February 11th at 8 a.m. Clark County Commission Chairman Michael Naft will host the event, during which the iconic sign will be illuminated in red, white, and blue.

Community Involvement
Approximately 20 volunteers will participate in the ceremony, dressed in attire representing 1776. The event will similarly recognize the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Children of the American Revolution for their work in preserving American history through education and preservation efforts.
Ida Zeiler, America 250 Southern Nevada coordinator, described the event as “the best way to kick off the America 250 celebration in Southern Nevada.”
