Ryan O’Reilly has taken over as chief commercial officer at WrxFlo, joining the manufacturing and logistics software firm as it accelerates its expansion. O’Reilly steps into the role with a quarter-of-a-century worth of experience across Europe, North America, and Australia, having previously worked for blue-chip firms including Dell, Apple, and EMC before running his own consultancy for more than eight years.
Funding Drives WrxFlo Expansion in Britain and USA
The executive appointment follows a €3m funding injection secured earlier this year by the company, which operates out of the Nexus Innovation Centre on the University of Limerick campus. That capital supports the firm’s growth in Britain and USA. The funds are also designated for the continued development of WrxFlo’s artificial intelligence-powered software as a service platform.
In his new role, O’Reilly will lead the firm’s commercial and sales strategy. His responsibilities include growing its customer base and identifying new opportunities in existing and new markets. Co-founder and chief executive Tim Crowe noted that O’Reilly brings experience from several different sides of the commercial world, including running his own consultancy and leading sales and commercial functions internationally.
O'Reilly targets new markets and customers to drive growth
O’Reilly pointed to the company’s clear ambition for growth as the primary draw for joining the company. “The company has already built significant momentum, and for me the opportunity is to build on that and look at how we take WrxFlo to more customers and markets,” O’Reilly said. He emphasized that building the right sales organisation around a product remains critical to demonstrating its value to customers.
Alongside his commercial leadership experience, O’Reilly holds a qualification in personnel and management coaching from University College Cork and studied marketing management and international trade at the old Limerick Institute of Technology. He is also an accredited executive coach.
