Ballina, Co. Mayo – Marie, a beloved mother of six, passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2026, at the Mayo Hospice, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, and her son, John.
A Life Remembered
Marie is survived by her children Loretta, Marie, Peter, Robert, Margaret, and Susan. She is too remembered by her daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Reposing will capture place at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (Eircode F26 V274) on Sunday evening, March 1st, from 5pm, with removal at 6:30pm to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina. A Requiem Mass is scheduled for Monday morning, March 2nd, at 11:30am, followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
