Masked Robbers Flee Jewellery Store Near Stockholm

Masked robbers fled the scene on scooters after a brazen daylight robbery at a jewelry store in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Police report that two masked individuals robbed a jewelry store in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm, according to Expressen.

After the robbery, the two men left the scene, and witnesses have reported that they may have used electric scooters as a getaway vehicle.

“According to witnesses, they showed objects resembling weapons,” writes police.

According to information from Expressen, shots were reportedly fired in the shopping mall during the robbery, but police have found nothing to suggest that shots were actually fired.

No one was injured in connection with the robbery.

“I know that the suspects hit a glass window, and it is unclear whether that was what made the sound, or whether shots were actually fired. We have received witness statements about sounds that may resemble gunshots,” says police spokesperson Anna Lärk, to Expressen.

It is currently unclear what the robbers took from the store. Police are now searching for the two perpetrators and have deployed significant resources, including dog patrols and a helicopter, in the search.
