Maurice Lede is set to become the recent Africa correspondent for NOS, joining Elles van Gelder. The 39-year-old presenter and program maker will start his role on May 1st, with Dakar, Senegal, serving as his base.
Lede succeeds Saskia Houttuin, who has transitioned to the role of correspondent in France.
Lede’s background is in law, but he is widely recognized for his television work, including presenting Het Klokhuis from 2011 to 2018 and 3 op Reis from 2016 to 2022. He has too hosted De Nationale Reistest, Trippers, and Serious Request.

Lede’s previous work includes the 2014 documentary Wrakstukken, focusing on the 25th anniversary of the SLM plane crash in Suriname.
