Country artist Megan Moroney revealed the tracklist for her upcoming album, Cloud 9, on Friday, featuring collaborations with two artists she has previously identified as personal heroes: Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves.
New Album Features High-Profile Collaborations
The 15-song album, set for release on February 20, includes a duet with Ed Sheeran on “I Only Miss You.” The collaboration follows several joint performances between the two artists over the past year. Musgraves joins Moroney on “Bells & Whistles,” a track particularly meaningful to Moroney, who once used Musgraves as the subject of her high school yearbook quote.
Cloud 9 will also include previously released singles “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things,” alongside new tracks such as “Liar & Tigers & Bears,” “Wedding Dress,” and “Waiting on the Rain.”
Moroney described the album as being rooted in “honest, personal experiences,” and noted that the songs were written from a place of increased confidence in her artistry. She stated, “Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”
Following the album’s release, Moroney is scheduled to embark on an arena tour beginning May 29, with stops in cities including Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, culminating in a performance at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on August 21.
