CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team secured a 74-68 victory over Boston College on Saturday at the Conte Forum.
A Back-and-Forth Contest
The Hurricanes (18-5, 7-3 ACC) initially gained momentum with a 7-0 run, establishing a 29-19 lead with 5:36 remaining in the first half. Yet, the Eagles (9-14, 2-8 ACC) quickly responded, closing the gap with a 14-5 run to end the half with Miami leading 34-33.
Miami extended its advantage to double digits, reaching a 50-40 lead, after a streak of seven consecutive successful field goals. Boston College fought back, briefly taking the lead at 58-57 with five and a half minutes left in the game. Miami regained control with consecutive baskets from Shelton Henderson and Tre Donaldson, leading 61-58.
The Hurricanes then built a seven-point lead before sealing the win with an alley-oop from Donaldson to Ernest Udeh Jr.

Malik Reneau led all scorers with 23 points, marking his fourth consecutive game with at least 20 points, and contributed eight rebounds. Shelton Henderson added 19 points, shooting 8-of-11 from the field, along with six rebounds and two blocked shots. Tre Donaldson also made a significant contribution with 14 points and a season-high eight rebounds.
Miami’s team performance included a 51.9% shooting percentage from the floor, although holding Boston College to 40% overall and 32.1% from beyond the three-point line.
