Michael, formerly of Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2026, at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

A Life Remembered

Michael is predeceased by his siblings, Mary, Nora, and Peter. He is deeply mourned by his wife, Mary Jo (nee Feehan), and his children, Sinead (Heffernan), Danny, Aoife (McGee), and Gary.

He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Charlie, Oscar, Lewis, Isabelle, Quinn, Audrey, and Silas, as well as his sons-in-law Barry and Johnny, daughters-in-law Emma and Mary, and a wide circle of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Reposing will take place at St Mary’s Funeral Home, Tourmakeady (F12XY26) on Thursday evening from 5:30pm until 7:00pm. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady on Friday at 12:00 noon.

Following the mass, a cremation service is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at 3:00 pm at Shannon Crematorium.
