A missing teenage girl from Memphis, Tennessee, was found in Stoneville, North Carolina, with 27-year-old Dakota Wayne Vettor, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were alerted to the missing girl on Monday after her parents reported her disappearance to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee the previous day. Deputies located the girl with Vettor on U.S. 311 in Stoneville, North Carolina.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the girl’s parents were immediately notified upon her discovery. The girl was placed in the custody of Rockingham County DSS until her parents could retrieve her.
