The February update’s centerpiece is the arrival of Arch-Tempered Arkveld, a significantly more challenging version of the game’s flagship monster. This heightened difficulty is aimed at experienced hunters who have mastered the game’s systems and are seeking a new endgame pursuit. Players will need to reach Hunter Rank 100 to participate in a special challenge quest against this formidable foe, launching on March 19th.
A Wave of New Content & Events
Beyond the Arch-Tempered Arkveld, the update introduces a host of new content. Players can glance forward to 10-star Arch-Tempered monsters including Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad, available through event quests. The update also includes event quests featuring designs selected from a recent community contest, and a special collaboration event with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
Festivals of Accord will rotate weekly, offering players opportunities to revisit Blossomdance, Flamefete, Dreamspell, and Lumenhymn. A new 10-star difficulty level is also being introduced, alongside high-difficulty optional quests.
Quality of Life Improvements & Accessibility
Capcom is also focusing on improving the overall player experience. The update includes a free Character and Palico Edit Voucher, and adds Latin American Spanish as a new voice language option. Several fixes have been implemented, including addressing issues with Uth Duna’s veil destruction animation and Arkveld’s Unleashed state.
