With this win, Victoire has a record of 8-3-0-5 (30 points) and is now tied with the Boston Fleet for first place in the standings, though the Fleet has two games in hand. The victory similarly moves Victoire into second place, ahead of the Minnesota Frost, who they will face on Sunday.

Goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens was instrumental in the win, making 34 saves. Coach Kori Cheverie highlighted the strong performance of the defensive group, praising their confidence and contribution to the offensive play.

Dara Greig, Jade-Downie Landry (against her former team), and Skylar Irving scored for Victoire in the first period. Kaylie Osborne was replaced in net by Callie Shanahan after conceding three goals on six shots.

Lina Ljungblom scored for the Sirens in the third period during a power play.

Desbiens is the first goaltender in the PWHL to reach 10 wins this season, with a league-leading 1.14 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage.

Injury Updates

Marie-Philip Poulin’s health will be evaluated daily. The nature of her injury is currently undisclosed, but it may be related to an injury sustained during the Olympics. Erin Ambrose has been placed on long-term injured reserve, retroactive to February 19th, due to a lower-body injury suffered in the Olympic final.

Tamara Giaquinto has been signed to a regular player contract, and Kelly-Ann Nadeau has signed a 10-day contract to bolster the roster in the absence of Poulin, and Ambrose.
