The North Dakota State women’s basketball team will compete in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT), as announced on Sunday night.
Bison Earn WBIT Bid
NDSU joins Brigham Young, Utah, and Texas A&M as one of the top four seeds in the 32-team tournament. These four teams were the last not selected for the NCAA Tournament. The Bison (28-4) will host Chattanooga (20-10) on Thursday at Scheels Center. Specific game times and ticket details will be released at a later date.
This marks the Bison’s fourth consecutive postseason appearance, though their first in the WBIT. Previously, NDSU participated in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) for the past three seasons, reaching the Great 8 round last year before a narrow overtime loss to Troy.
