AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join its Surgical Assistants of Florida team within the Central Florida Division. This role, operating under the supervision of a Physician, focuses on providing first assistance during surgical procedures and managing intraoperative patient care across eleven AdventHealth campuses.

Surgical PA-C Role at AdventHealth

The PA-C will be responsible for ensuring the operating room is properly prepared, performing tasks as directed by the surgeon, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests. The position covers a range of specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, Urogynecology, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, and Vascular surgery.

This is a full-time position requiring a 5-day operating schedule, with call and weekend responsibilities. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong communication and medical decision-making skills, as well as the ability to build effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must be graduates of an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program and possess a current, valid, and unrestricted Florida PA license, as well as NCCPA certification and current BLS (ACLS optional). A minimum of two years’ experience as a PA-C in surgical first assisting within one of the listed specialties is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in spine and robotics.
