Laima Eglīte’s “Retrospectives”: A Half-Century of Artistic Vision
The Daugava Gallery is currently hosting a retrospective exhibition of works by painter Laima Eglīte, running from March 11th to April 11th. The exhibition, titled Retrospekcijas, showcases pieces spanning five decades, from the 1970s to the present. Eglīte’s work frequently features children, mimes, and friends, reflecting her personal experiences and observations. Her art is deeply connected to the themes of pantomime and body language, stemming from a lifelong fascination with theatre.

Eglīte trained at the Janis Rozentals Riga Secondary Art School and later at the Latvian Academy of Art, where Eduards Kalniņš served as her thesis advisor. Art Deco and Beyond: A Journey Through Design History

Ķīpsala Hall will host the international pet and zoo industry exhibition, PetExpo 2026, on March 14th and 15th. The exhibition will also showcase exotic birds and farm animals.
