New Research Opportunity
The project offers compensation of $3,000 to up to 19 researchers who submit successful proposals. These proposals should outline studies based on data from the Spring 2024 Survey, which includes measures of religion and spirituality in 35 countries, as well as comparable U.S. data collected in 2023 and 2024.

Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a CV and a research proposal of no more than 1,500 words. The proposal should clearly state the research question, how the datasets will be used, and how the study will contribute to existing knowledge. A statement of no more than 250 words detailing the applicant’s expertise and resources is also required.
Researchers may apply individually or as part of a team, with funding split evenly among co-authors. Proposals that demonstrate familiarity with existing research, particularly studies from the Pew Research Center, will be favored. Researchers are welcome to combine these datasets with other data sources.
A draft paper of at least 3,000 words will be required from selected researchers in August 2026, as a condition of receiving payment. Intellectual property rights to the final publication will remain with the researcher.
